On January 21, 2026, A mini-symposium featured five invited speakers-Won-Gun Koh (Yonsei Univ.),
Won Jong Kim (POSTECH), Kang Moo Huh (Chungnam Nat. Univ.), Han Soo Park (Chung-Ang Univ.),
and Soo-Hong Lee (Dongguk Univ.).
Each speaker introduced their current research focus, covering diverse areas in biomaterials, drug delivery,
tissue engineering, and translational biomedical research, highlighting recent progress and future directions.

On December 22, Ph.D. Jin Woo Bae from DOF Inc. visited and delivered an invited seminar
titled “Supercritically-processed biological tissues in regenerative medicine”
Ph.D. Bae delivered a seminar on the commercial utilization of extracellular matrix (ECM) technologies.
The seminar focused on how ECM-based biomaterials are translated into scalable products,
particularly for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering applications.

On December 10, Prof. Jae Min Cha from Incheon National University visited and delivered an invited seminar
titled “3D Stem Cell Bioprocessing for Production of Extracellular Vesicle Therapeutics”
Prof. Cha presented advances in MSC-derived extracellular vesicle (EV) therapeutics, focusing on EVs as safer
and more scalable alternatives to living stem cell therapies.
The seminar highlighted 3D MSC spheroid–based bioprocessing as a key strategy to dramatically enhance EV production
and enable clinical translation of EV-based treatments.

On November 4, Prof. Do-Kyun Kim from Jeonbuk National University visited and delivered an invited seminar
titled “Immunological Roles of Mast Cells: From Innate Sentinel to Adaptive Modulator.”
Prof. Kim presented his recent findings on mast-cell biology, highlighting their multifaceted roles in innate immunity,
adaptive immune modulation, and disease pathophysiology.
The seminar provided deep mechanistic insights and valuable perspectives for immune-engineering research.
We sincerely appreciate Prof. Kim’s visit and the stimulating discussion.

On October 28, Prof. Won-Gun Koh from Yonsei University visited and delivered an invited seminar
titled “Multi-scale Hydrogel for Sensing and Regenerative Medicine.”
